Police received a report of a stabbing victim in the City of New London at about 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, authorities said.
Officers responded to the home on Cutler Street and determined that a male victim, whose age was not identified, had suffered a serious, non-life-threatening injury in the stabbing, according to the New London Police Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Witnesses at the scene reported that a man, later identified as 56-year-old Jose Matoselicier, of New London, had fled in a vehicle before police arrived, authorities reported.
Matoselicier was located and arrested without further incident, authorities said.
Police reported that Matoselicier was charged with:
- Second-degree assault
- Second-degree threatening
- Disorderly conduct
Police said the incident doesn't appear to be random a random act.
